Merry Little Christmas...

This holiday has been so magical for our family.  We had some wonderful visits with family that I will treasure forever.

We spent the weekend before Christmas with my family in McKinney.  Mar had a fantastic "Christmas morning" with Doodle and Papa and got a great easel and play kitchen with all the accesories.   My Aunt Karen and sweet cousin Malynne joined us for a while on Saturday and we exchanged presents with them as well.  I have gotten to see my folks a lot over the last two months and I feel like the luckiest daughter in the world... my parents adore their granddaughter and the feeling is mutual...

We also spent some time with our dear friends the Urbanczyks... their daugther Reese (the cutest little monkey) and Liz and James came over for pizza, gifts and cookie making.  The girls are two peas in a pod and it just warms our hearts to see them running around holding hands giggling.  We are tickled that they are good friends just as we are...

 We then spent Christmas weekend with Ned's family in Rocksprings at this parents house.  Marleigh has six cousins on this side of the family so you can imagine the noise level... throw in two boxer dogs and you have yourself a party!  Seriously, it is wonderful to see Mar playing and making memories with her cousins.  That is what family is about.  We made gingerbread houses, cookies for Santa and reindeer food.  (Poor Grannie's house will never be the same!)

We had a lovely evening on Christmas day with Ned's grandparents and his large extended family joined us (I counted 27 folks altogether...)

Then we came home to Poth to see what Santa had left... a baby carriage, a Little People Farm and Moon Dough, plus gifts from Mama and Daddy, Daysie, Maddie and Tobie...

We had a wonderful holiday this year... now onto real life again.  I have already stashed away the Christmas decorations... hopefully to be unpacked in a new house next year.  We are now spending our time tackling potty training and selling this precious little house!  Happy New Year!
